With the Season 8 premiere of Game of Thrones only a month away, Kit Harington is dishing on what’s ahead for Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Following a slew of exciting promo images and a new trailer, Harington revealed that Jon is in love with the Mother of Dragons — and that he’s facing a “sledgehammer” moment this season.
“The end of the world might be coming soon, but at least he’s in love with somebody and knows who he is — and then comes a sledgehammer,” Harington shared.

Harington did not spoil any details about Jon and Dany’s storyline this season or what he meant by the sledgehammer. Considering how the two are facing an undead army led by the Night King this season, Jon’s biggest hurdle probably has something to do with the upcoming war with the White Walkers.
In fact, the actor who plays the Night King, Vladimir Furdik, recently opened up about what his character is facing in Season 8 and revealed that he will meet Jon once again.
Furdik teased that the Night King has a “target” this season and that everyone will find out who that person is when Game of Thrones returns. He also revealed that the Night King and Jon will have another “Hardhome” moment — only bigger.
In the “Hardhome” episode, the Night King came disturbingly close to Jon and the rest of the survivors as they were rowing away from the town following a massive battle. Everyone who had died in the fight came back alive as the Night King raised his arms.
It is unclear what Furdik meant by having another moment in Season 8, but it does not bode well for Jon and Daenerys.

Unfortunately, fans will have to tune in to the final season to find out what happens between Jon and his main nemesis this season. Hopefully, things turn out for the former Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch and his newly found love.
