While Miranda Kerr is certainly famous in her own right, it seems it was her relationship with "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Orlando Bloom that often kept her in the headlines after they got together in 2007. At the time though, Kerr wasn't sure she wanted to be with a celebrity. As she said on a 2011 episode of "Sunday Night" (via Digital Spy), "I was reluctant — not about him, but the idea of [him being a movie star]." The two went on to get engaged and then married in a secret ceremony in 2010, before welcoming their son, Flynn, six months later.
By 2013, the couple decided to call it quits. Per E! News, the two maintained the split was amicable in their joint statement. Yet Kerr later revealed to Elle, "When Orlando and I separated, I actually fell into a really bad depression." She knew it was the right thing to do though, telling The Edit (via Marie Claire), "We weren't bringing out the best in each other."
The two remained on good terms for Flynn. "From day one when Orlando and I decided to separate, I said ... 'we have to put Flynn's needs first, not our own,'" Kerr told Vogue. They've seemingly been able to do so, since Kerr said in 2022 that co-parenting with Bloom makes her happy. Kerr apparently doesn't even see him as an ex anymore either, telling the "Moments with Candace Parker" podcast, "He's, like, to me right now, a brother. And most of the time, an annoying brother."
